Andy Walker - Guitar
Features on the Random Earth Project track 'Cry'
PiX: Copyrighted
Guitarist Andy Walker’s presence within the ranks of the current Random Earth Projects collective members has been constantly tangible, occasionally obvious, and an ‘always there’ invitation. Andy has played alongside both Carleton Van Selman (keys) and Trev Turley (bass) in many guises and many bands since 2015. Mentioning the Mojo Preachers as the common bond is an obvious returning to a style and a comfort of music and fondness for the three musicians and has beckoned, ebbed and flowed over the past decade. Like Mark Howes, both he and Andy are native to the eclectic Norwich music scene and have often graced the same stage, the same material and now here, the same invitation.
Reliable, a ‘Six String Smith’ of note and a burgeoning trade mark of style and contribution; is Andy. Both Sir Clapton and Sir Gilmour, that’s Eric and David respectfully, have cast their cloak and influence over Andy’s playing, so it was obvious to invite Andy’s deftness to the track he now embellishes on the album ‘Changes’; the long awaited second release by the current Random Earth Project collective following their debut ‘Airwaves’.
